Angle flanges are made available in the shown hole patterns. For different hole patterns or no holes, we can use laser technology to burn flat flanges, if required.

Notes:

• Galvanized steel provides little or no breakdown of zinc (zinc melting point 740°F)
• Hardware is not supplied with flanges and must be supplied by customer
  • 7/16" holes use 3/8-16 x 1-1/2" lock washer, and hex nut - Grade 5 or better
  • 3/8" holes use 5/16-18 x 1-1/2" lock washer, and hex nut - Grade 5 or better
  • 9/32" holes use 1/4-20 x 1-1/2" lock washer, and hex nut - Grade 5 or better

Angle Flange Gaskets are available in high temp red silicone and black nitrile materials and are designed to be used with Nordfab angle flanges and angle flange adapters. Gasket dimensions match Angle Flange dimensions.

Ball joints allow up to 22° of movement off-center and are available in galvanized, aluminum, stainless and stainless+ with optional no. 4 finish.

Construction: 

• Collars: located on the exterior side of each port and considered as air flow non-directional. Collars have a laser welded longitudinal seam (exception: 3" collars are lapped, spot welded, and caulked.)
• If air flow directional product is required, it must be stated on the PO and additional cost may be incurred. A raised lap seam and spot weld are used for attaching the collar to the body and no caulking is used. If caulking is required, additional cost may be incurred.

Installed in ducting as part of a dust collection system, the Nordfab In-line Spark Trap greatly reduces the possibility of fire in cyclones / collectors by decreasing the number of sparks which could reach the cyclone or collector through the ductwork.

No moving parts and no power required for operation. Minimal pressure loss.

Can quickly and easily be mounted into Quick-Fit ducting systems, or other duct systems with use of a Nordfab adapter, and the trap can easily be removed for cleanout. Available with flanged ends.

Calibration or other assistance from a factory technician is not required.

This is a simple, low-cost tool that can reduce incidents of fire events, reducing costs and disruption and improving safety. System redundancy and complementary measures should be applied.

Replacement Leak-Free O-ring for use with Adjustable Nipples.

General purpose oil resistant polymer leak-free molded gaskets. Performs well in many oil, water and hydraulic fluids. Should not be used with solvents such as acetone. MEK, ozone, chlorine hydrocarbons, and nitro hydrocarbons. Temperature range - 30° Fahrenheit to + 225° Fahrenheit.

Used when exhausting from fans or stacks through roof. Eliminates backpressure on fan while providing weather protection.

Nordfab® Quick-Fit® Sealed (QFS) Ducting

Designed for machining and any other operations which create oil mists, Nordfab QFS Ducting can significantly reduces risks of leakage from ducting. QFS features laser welded and caulked duct (solid seams eliminate leakage) and double sealing at ductwork connections. Ductwork is available in galvanized and stainless steel construction. Nordfab offers QFS™ Sealed Duct to protect against leakage in ducting used in ventilation systems where oil mist and smoke are contaminants. QFS is a simple system for sealing standard Quick-Fit^® ductwork.

The three key components of the Nordfab^® QFS system are:

1) Leak-resistant seams on the ductwork:

• Laser welded pipe
• Caulked seams / joints on other components as needed. Nordfab has recently switched to a new more durable, marine grade sealant offering improved UV exposure performance.

2) QFS Gaskets applied to the duct ends at the joints. Nordfab has re-designed the QFS Gasket so it is easier to install and does not require adhesives. Other benefits include a non-directional design, fewer sizes needed, and the same conductive material.

3) The QFS O-ring for the Quick-Fit® Sleeve which is used where variable lengths are needed

Oil Mist Recyclers and Drain Backs for Hose are additional QFS components which can be installed where needed.

*Due to variables beyond our control, Nordfab Ducting cannot guarantee a leak proof system in all installations, even when using caulk & “leak free” gaskets. Some of the variables that impact this include: the craftsmanship of the duct installation, the chemicals within the duct, and the expertise of the designer.
