Sleepers manufactured using the MARGAPLAN® post-tensioned system are used throughout the Italian Railway System (RFI). Given the excellent performance by MARGAPLAN® sleepers both in testing by Railway Authorities and in use in the RFI network, MARGAPLAN® RFI260 sleepers were chosen for the construction of the latest high speed line (TURIN-MILAN) where they are encountering great success with the Technical Officials, Permanent Way Contractors and Track Certification Officials, with the new Italian speed record of 350.8 km/h without vibration.
