The IRU-5000 is a short range ultrasonic sensor for small tanks and totes. It features an operating range of 4 inches up to 79 inches, making it ideal for smaller vessels where accurate level measurement is needed. With CSA, Class 1, Div 2 approvals, it is suitable for many hazardous locations. The IRU-500 series has three different mounting options 1-inch NPT, 2-inch NPT or a 2-inch sanitary ferrule.

The IRU-5000 ultrasonic sensor offers 4-20 mA and programmable voltage outputs. It also can be configured using NPN trip points, if you desire to trigger an alarm when liquids reach a certain level in the tank. With a blanking distance of only 4 inches, this sensor can be used reliably in small tanks containing expensive chemicals.
