If the application is for a very large bin, tank or silo – the BinMaster MVL multiple-scanner system will provide greater inventory accuracy than a single 3DLevelScanner. The MVL system integrates the multiple point measurement data from two or more 3DLevelScanners to cover a very wide surface area which makes it able to estimate inventory volume with greater accuracy than previously available from any level measurement device. Using advanced processing and software, the MVL also displays a visual representation of the material surface that shows high and low points in the bin such as cone up, cone down, sidewall buildup or bridging.
In an MVL system, two or more scanners are mounted on the top of the vessel in locations optimized to most effectively cover the entire surface area of the material being measured. The scanners take multiple measurements of the material surface using dust-penetrating, acoustic-based technology.
A controller combines the data from the two scanners and generates a single merged visual representation of the topography of the material and displays the image on a PC loaded with the 3D Vision software. The MVL provides diverse data including estimated volume; minimum, maximum and average distances to material in the bin; as well as a synchronized 4-20 mA output to a PLC or DCS.

Model Description |
N/A 3DLevelScanner-ML is for use in multiple scanner systems that do not include the 3Dvisualization feature. It features a Teflon coated 7.67” diameter horn, 20-36 VDC, 4-20 mAoutput / Hart protocol, and RS-485 communications. When used in a multi-scanner system, it provides accurate readings of level and volume for stored materials based on two or mores ynchronized ML units. The multi-scanner system provides an analog output which represents (as a default value) the overall volume of the contents of the entire silo. Unit comes with internal LCD display and 3DVision software. A controller (purchased separately)calculates volume by integrating data from multiple scanners. Appropriate for silos up to 200’ tall. Hazardous location approved, FM listed for Class I, II, Division 1, Groups C, D, E, F & G. One year warranty. |
