MODEL 70 END TAPPED VIBRATOR: End tapped with inch or millimeter thread for attaching to threaded rod or stud. Model 70 can be supplied in many variations; silent (air cushioned) or impacting (piston hitting end cap) with exhaust port for attaching a muffler or air hose to lead off exhausting air. The all steel construction assures long life. Model 70 is an inexpensive solution for moving material in small bins and hoppers as well as screens and small feeders. Force and frequency will vary with air pressure. S – for Silent Units and EM - if Exhaust Manifold is required.  All VIBCO Piston Vibrators require lubricated air.

MODEL 80 END MOUNTED PISTON VIBRATOR - “BIG RED”:  The new revolutionary lightweight all steel design makes it an inexpensive unit for the big bin or hopper job without sacrificing the quality of the more expensive flange mounted units. The single bolt attachment makes them easy and fast to install. The “BIG RED” is supplied either with a silent (air cushioned) piston or the more powerful impacting (piston hitting end cap) standard unit.  O-rings cover the air exhaust holes keeping dust and dirt out of the piston chamber, avoiding scoring and damage to piston and cylinder walls, and allowing the units to operate in the worst environments.  There are four basic models with piston sizes of 1”, 1-1/4”, 1-1/2” and 2”.  For smaller sizes see Model 70. The eyebolt on top for a safety chain can be removed for other attachments.

If stubborn material in bulk bags is causing problems in your bulk bag unloading area, try an EP Series Extended Piston Vibrator.  The EP Series is specifically designed for keeping materials flowing from bulk bags, portable “day bins” and batch feed hoppers. The piston extends through the head plate, and is threaded to accommodate a connecting rod or bumper. Spring returns and dual air exhaust mufflers are standard on all EP Series models. The air cushioned piston provides the force needed to dislodge stubborn materials with low noise levels. Force and frequency are fully adjustable by varying the supply air pressure. When used with a lubricator, EP Series Extended Piston Vibrators are virtually maintenance free. Use of a pneumatic or electronic timer will also allow timed action from your EP Series vibrator without constant attention of an operator. FP Series Pneumatic Piston Vibrators are explosion-proof, lightweight, compact, durable, efficient, and quiet. They are easy to install and maintain, and are designed to work continuously in the most rigorous conditions. Hard-coated alloy bodies are corrosion resistant for long life. The FP’s produce a linear vibration, with forces as low as 7.2 pounds to over 320 pounds, and frequencies from 2400 to 9300 VPM, depending on the model and air pressure. FP Series Pneumatic Piston Vibrators can be mounted in any position, and amplitude and frequency are infinitely adjustable by varying the air pressure. The piston is air cushioned, and a unique exhaust system absorbs noise for quiet operation. The power to weight ratio of the unit makes it ideal for many applications, especially the feeding of chemical powders, seeds, grains, small parts, flour, sugar, and other food products.

Piston vibrators use the impact action produced by a moving piston to flex the bin wall. This flexing action loosens material stuck to the wall, allowing gravity to restore material flow. FPLF piston vibrators are air-cushioned piston vibrators. They use a cushion of air to dampen the piston movement, so the piston reverses direction before impacting the vibrator base. Therefore, FPLF series piston vibrators are quieter than the impacting piston vibrators. The FPLF series is commonly used on chutes, channels or tubes, and spiral chute feed hoppers for conveying fine materials such as chemical powders, flour, sugar, etc.

The F-series Linear Piston Vibrators are particularly suitable for conveying, compacting and detaching of bulk solids due to perfectly linear vibrations. They reach optimum results in emptying of bins or as drives for vibrating conveyors or feeders.

F-type Piston Vibrators produce linear vibration movements with large amplitude oscillations. By fixing the vibrator either on the casing or on the piston, or by adding oscillating weights on the piston, numerous variants regarding both amplitude and frequency are possible. The frequency is adjusted by the operating pressure. The timed impact of the Single Impulse (SI) design allows for low frequency vibration, reduced noise levels, and greater material control.  SI Series models are ideal for removal of powdered materials found in most dust collection hoppers and bag houses.  Essentially, the SI Series vibrator is a sledgehammer with both controlled intensity and controlled frequency.  Six sizes are available, and each can be converted in the field to a continuously impacting vibrator if needed.  SI Series vibrators require the use of a pneumatic or electronic timer and solenoid valve.

The single impact pneumatic vibrator or "air knocker" delivers one impact at a maximum frequency of once every three seconds through a five-port spool valve. A timer is used to vary the impact cycle required. Single impactors or "air knockers" act most like a hammer and are most effective for sticky materials because they are less likely than continuous vibration to cause packing in bins and hoppers.

VTL Series Linear Pneumatic Piston Vibrators provide quiet linear vibrating force using an air cushioned piston. Frequency and amplitude can be controlled independently – frequency is controlled by varying air pressure and amplitude is varied by changing the weight of the vibrating mass.  The VTL Series Vibrators can be mounted by the piston or by the housing; therefore, either the piston or the housing can be used as the vibrating mass.  Additional weights can also be added to the free end of the vibrator, further increasing the range of available amplitudes. Using additional masses the vibrator is able to work at low frequencies down to 15 Hz and to generate large amplitudes.  VTL vibrators combine the advantages of low frequency rotary vibrators (large amplitudes) with those of magnetic vibrators (adjustable amplitudes). Additionally, they have the advantage of being able to select the most suitable frequency to obtain optimum results. VTL's are effective flow aids for feeders, tables, screens, and hoppers.

Impacting models allow the internal piston to strike the base of the vibrator, producing the greatest amount of force and frequency. Air-Cushioned models use a cushion of air to dampen the piston movement, so the piston reverses direction before impacting the vibrator base. Therefore, Air-Cushioned models are more quiet but also produce less force and frequency than the Impacting models.
