VS1 & VS2 Vibratory Machine Monitors
(4)
Features:
• Settable trip-point in RMS vibration velocity units (in/s)
• Settable over/under alarm function
• 2 output options: SPDT relay and isolated transistor
• Both output options are failsafe
• Settable alarm delay suppresses nuisance alarms
• At-a-glance power, vibration and output status
• 24 VDC powered
• 2 housing options: compact NEMA 4X and XP (explosion proof)
VS1 and VS2 monitor the machine surface to which they are attached and alarm when vibration either exceeds or falls below the trip-point setting, according to the alarm over/under switch setting. Each have three LED indicators providing power, vibration and alarm status. The isolated transistor or relay output may be wired for machine shutdown or as part of an early warning system. The adjustable alarm delay prevents false alarms by allowing the user to set the minimum continuous fault condition time for alarm, thus preventing needless system shutdowns during operation or startup. Two rugged cast aluminum housing options are available for each model: the compact NEMA 4X and the Class I and II rated explosion proof (XP). A separate 24 VDC power supply is also available.

MTS Tilt Switch & SCU-200 Control Unit
(8)
Features:
• Easy to install, requires little maintenance
• Control unit interfaces with any tilt switch probe
• Advanced solid state electronic circuitry
• Intrinsically safe control unit available
• Adjustable time delay prevents false indication
MTS tilt switches are welded steel probes commonly used with the SCU-200 Control Unit to create a system used to sense the presence or absence of any bulk material. Typical applications include: high or low bin level alarms, detection of transfer chute plug-up, control of material depth in crusher bowls, and the sensing of alarm conditions in rock box, screen classifier, etc.
The SCU-200 Control Unit provides a safe low voltage power source for any of Electro-Sensors' tilt switch probes. Input from the probe is switch selectable so that either tilted or vertical position may be selected as "safe". The opposite position results in alarm, following an adjustable 1-99 second relay output delay. The delay assures reliable performance, free from false alarms, because only a sustained change in the probe position will initiate an alarm. Lamps are mounted on the face of the enclosure to indicate the SAFE/ALARM status of the output relay (5 Amp DPDT). The control is failsafe; relay failure or power loss causes an immediate alarm.

VUM800 Heavy-Duty Vibration Monitor
Features:
• Heavy-duty sensing probe
• DPDT 10 amp relay
• Optional 230 VAC operation
• Control unit remotely mounted
• Failsafe operation
The VUM800 Vibration Monitor confirms normal operation of processes utilizing continuous vibration. Since the VUM800 measures actual vibration, not motor rotation, power draw, or any other implied measures, all sources of failure are detected: power loss, motor or gearbox failure, belt slippage, or breakage. Applications include shaker screens, vibratory feeders, bin bottoms, and crushers. The solid state electronics of the rugged VUM800 are epoxy encapsulated in metal. The VUM800 is easily installed and needs no calibration or maintenance. The unit is failsafe; power loss or a broken cable will indicate an alarm situation.
