Martin self-aligning idlers, also known as training idlers
function with the same principle as a set of bicycle
handlebars. If the belt tracks off-center, it contacts the
guide rolls prior to the assembly and pivots the top
portion of the frame. This helps to correct belt alignment
by steering the belt back into the trough. CEMA
recommends self-aligning idlers and return self-aligning
idlers be installed at approximately 100ft centers.
